Rahman Gharib, Metro Center coordinator announced to voice of America, "after the release of the Hisham Alhashimi terror case suspect, we
discussed taking a stand with the Iraqi organizations, because we have joint
work and cooperation between us.”
The release of the Hisham Alhashimi terror case suspect,
Iraqi strategic research, has caused concern to Iraqi intellectuals and
political activists, Because the accused is close to the groups of Hashdi
Shaabi, and they think he got escaped from punishment.
On July 6th 2020, Hisham Hashimi Iraqi strategic researcher,
got shot in front of his house in Baghdad and died. Then a police officer named
Ahmed Mohammedawi got arrested for killing him and was sentenced to death.
However, the Iraqi medias soon published that the Baghdad
criminal court with the excuse of not having enough evidence removed the
accusations against this officer and released him.
Hisham Hashemi was an expert in the field of Islamic armed
groups and was considered as one of the close friends of Mustafa Kazemi، the former prime minister of Iraq. A short while before
his death, he published an investigation about the conflict between the groups
of Hashd al-Shaabi، and some
sources say that he mentioned the possibility of his murder by the Shia
militia.
The media agencies in Iraq say that they were not allowed to
cover the last court session in which the court ordered the release of the
suspect.
Rahman Gharib, Metro Center coordinator announced to Voice of America, "after the release of the Hisham Alhashimi terror case suspect, we
discussed taking a stand with the Iraqi organizations, because we have joint
work and cooperation between us.”
He said, "Iraq is under the influence of the Shia groups,
and we feel like some organizations do not dare to take a stand, although all
Iraqi organizations are concerned about the release of the suspect. Releasing
the suspect is promoting releasing criminals from punishment.”
According to Iraqi officials, before his terror advised
Mustafa Kadhimi’s government about a plan to limiting the domination of groups
belonging to Iran and controlling those groups by the state.
Although the finger of blame is extended to the PMF groups
in the case of hisham Hashemi's murder، none
of these groups have officially claimed responsibility for the assassination.
