Launch our Voices project Metro partner for Internews




With the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), we launched our Voices, sponsored by Inter News, with the participation and implementation of Metro, Peace and Freedom,

On Monday, 24/6, at the Rotana Hotel in Erbil, in the presence of dozens of representatives of government departments, media institutions, civil society organizations, activists and the independent media, the launch of our Voices project was announced.

"The main objective of the SIDA-sponsored project is to empower and develop the capacity of women media workers," said Bakhshan Kak Wes, Iraq Project Manager at Internews. "The duration of the project is three years, during which we will train women journalists from all cities of Iraq to develop and strengthen their capabilities to be creative and leadership in the field of their work."
"The project includes dozens of activities and events that seek to raise the level and capacity of women working in the media," she said.

Mrs. Bakhshan invited the media organizations in all their aspects to cooperate with this project to achieve this noble goal.
