On April 23rd, 2025, we were guests of a dinner organized by the British Embassy at Rotana Hotel in Sulaimani.

New ambassador Irfan Sadiq, Consul General Andrew Bizley, Julian Howard and Salar Amin from the Political Department of the British Consulate met with Metro Centre, PDO and WOLA.

The purpose of the meeting was to get to know Mr. Irfan Sadiq, the new British Ambassador to Iraq, and the meeting was a good opportunity to discuss the situation of human rights in general and the situation of freedom of expression, women's rights and the work of organizations in particular.

In turn, the Ambassador and the British Consulate team expressed their support for freedom of expression and freedom of association and thanked the work and activities of the three organizations.
