Metro Center participated in a two-day international conference "Voices of Women Without Borders” in Erbil on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, with the support of the French government and the participation of 60 influential women from the Middle East, North Africa and Europe.

This is the first international event of the VFSF Forum, an initiative of the NGO AHJ bringing together 60 women from the MENA region and Europe.

The conference discussed several main topics such as human rights, climate change, artificial intelligence and their impact on women and the role of women in these areas.

The first day's panels focused on women journalists and activists in conflict zones whose social and professional environments are at risk, yet they continue to cover and defend human rights, peace and climate – and risk their lives.

It is in this context that the initiative Voix des Femmes Sans Frontières - VFSF (Voices of Women Without Borders) was created, with the aim of highlighting the voices of women.

Discussions on human rights, press freedom, equality, climate, AI, justice and the situation of women journalists continued on the second day.
