Head of Communications of Metro Center said that in order to present the electoral situation and the role of civil society institutions in supporting the electoral process and monitoring, (Sulaimani Provincial Election Platform) was announced.

On Monday, May 19th, 2025, a meeting was held in the hall of Civil Development Organization in the presence of some civil society organizations, government representatives, syndicates and journalists, Metro Center and Sulaimani office of the Independent High Election Commission.

Sewa Sirwan said that Metro Center will participate in the awareness process and monitor the election process as a member of the Shams Network for the Iraqi Parliamentary Elections. "This meeting was supervised by Shams Network, a platform will be formed in each province in the KRG for this purpose, the electoral platform of Sulaimani province was established," she said.

"The meeting discussed the agenda of activities in Sulaimani in order to encourage social classes and political parties to participate actively in this election," she said.

The Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) has begun preparations for the November 11, 2025 parliamentary elections.
