On the 17th-18th of June, 2025, Sewa Sirwan, representing Metro Center, participated in a two-day course titled "Effects of Stress on Mental Health and Self-Care” for journalists and human rights activists in Sulaimani province.

In this course, important topics such as mental health, crisis and trauma, self-care and its methods and working on thinking, feeling and behavior were explained to the participants. In addition, important questions and discussions were raised such as, what are the most obvious pressures on the work of journalists and activists? What are the reasons for not seeking psychological counseling?
