On August 19th, 2025, the team of Metro Center received (Karwan Gaznayi) Spokesperson of the PUK.

The team of Metro Center congratulated Gaznayi on his appointment and wished him success in his new mission within the PUK.

The visit was an opportunity to discuss the opportunities and obstacles facing the freedom of journalists. Also, the treatment of political party spokespersons and the search for the best mechanism of communication with the media without discrimination in order to provide information to citizens.

In June 2025, Karwan Gaznayi was appointed spokesman of the PUK by Bafel Talabani, replacing Saadi Ahmad Pira.

Karwan Gaznayi, born in Erbil, holds a master's degree in politics and international relations. He was a former member of the Kurdistan Parliament and spokesman of the PUK list for the sixth session of the Kurdistan Parliament. In the fifth session, he was the deputy of the Kurdistan Relations and Diaspora Committee and a member of the Energy, Natural Resources, Industry and Commerce Committee.
