This afternoon, to reaffirm our support and ensure the continuity of Metro Center, we had a discussion with the coordinator of Metro Center, Rahman Ghareb and its director, Diyaree Mohammed.
Metro Center and its employees will continue to protect the rights of journalists in the Kurdistan Region.
As they say, "Metro is not a supermarket so some party can put a banner on its door saying it is closed”. The work of human rights defenders must be respected, and freedom of expression must be protected at all costs.
