Today, September 7th, 2025, Metro Center team welcomed Karwan Anwar, Secretary of Sulaimani Branch of Kurdistan Journalists’ Syndicate.

In this friendly meeting we emphasized on the coordination between the union and Metro in order to monitor and defend press freedom in the Kurdistan Region.

The coordinator of Metro Center thanked Mr. Karwani for his support for Metro Center and its freedom of work.

Metro Center, together with its partners in Iraq, the region, Kurdistan and the world, continues its principles for a peaceful environment for journalists without fear, intimidation and retaliation, protecting human rights principles and exposing any threat to rights and freedoms.
