This evening, Thursday, October 2, we met with Jan Braim, Consul General of France in the Kurdistan Region.

We highlighted the opportunities and challenges facing the civil labor space, freedom of the press and freedom of information, in light of the new situation in the Kurdistan Region and the start of the campaign for the Iraqi parliamentary elections. 

We emphasized that despite the pressure and defamation campaign, Metro continues and will not stop and will not be afraid.

The meeting had a constructive and important discussion about the situation of civil society organizations in their working space.
