On Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, the team of Metro Center received writer and journalist Zuhair Al-Jazairi.

His visit was an opportunity to discuss the situation of press freedom, freedom of culture and publishing in Iraq and the obstacles facing journalists and writers and how these conditions affect society.

Zuhair Al-Jazairi expressed his happiness and support for the continued work of Metro Center and Alliance Network 19 and wished them success.

Zuhair Al-Jazairi, an Iraqi writer and journalist, had lived in exile for 24 years. He holds a degree in German literature from the University of Baghdad and a degree in English from the University of Cambridge. He has more than 50 years of experience in journalism.
