The British, German and Dutch consulates praised the role of Metro Center in monitoring the environment of journalism and media discourse in war situations and hoped to meet with their team at their office as soon as possible.
On April 9th, 2026, Metro Center’s team met online with the consulates of the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
First, the Coordinator of Metro Center thanked all three consulates for their attention to the report, work and positions of Metro Center and for organizing this discussion.
The meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on the general situation related to media freedom and media discourse during the war.
Diyaree Mohammed, Director of Metro Center, Sewa Sirwan of Alliance Network 19, presented some stations of media discourse and their comments on media coverage and government guidelines.
The British, German and Dutch consulates praised the role of Metro Center as an independent and free organization that monitors the environment of journalism and media discourse in war and peace situations.
During the meeting, which lasted more than an hour, the participants hoped to meet with their team at the Metro office as soon as possible.
