On August 23-24th, 2026, in Sulaimani, I was pleased to participate in a workshop entitled "National Activity to Launch Multilateral Alliances” under the social media for Peace Project organized by UNESCO.

The workshop brought together various stakeholders in the community to discuss how we can promote a safer, more responsible and more peaceful social media space.

Activities included strategic discussions and coordination meetings with civil society representatives, media practitioners, technology experts, content creators, and international organizations, as well as, highlighting the importance of collaboration and collective action.

I am grateful to have been a part of this important initiative and for the opportunity to contribute to building a safer digital environment for all.
