On Sunday, September 13th, 2026, the team of Metro Center welcomed Mr. Falah Hassan, President of the Office of NGOs, Mr. Hardi Ahmad, Vice President of the office and their accompanying delegation.
The coordinator of Metro Center, Rahman Ghareb warmly welcomed them and hoped that they would continue their work with civil society organizations and the relationship based on facilitation, openness and full coordination.
Mr. Falah Hassan, Head of the Office of NGOs, praised Metro Center for monitoring freedom of press and expression and said, "This visit is to emphasize coordination and listen to your suggestions in order to improve the work of the office.
In the meeting, Metro Center Director, Diyaree Mohammed, Network 19 Coordinator Shaee Aso, Head of Network 19 communications, Kani Omar, Metro Center’s Legal Advisor Shwan Jamal and Sewa Sirwan, Metro’s Head of communications discussed the most important stages of this year's activities with the French agency CFI in Erbil, Sulaimani and Halabja, including the issuance of a legal and ethical guidelines for journalists on how to cover issues of war, hate speech, court news, crime and human rights.
Also, Metro’s team, while positively evaluating the work and activities of the office, presented several recommendations in order to strengthen and improve their work.
