The fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany embodied the will of the German people to bring down the wall of division and strive for change.
Tonight, in the capital, Erbil, we commemorated a historic moment in the lives of the German people, when a major historical reality and a new era were born. The German people named it Unity Day.
Together with Diyaree Mohammed, I represented Metro Center at this distinguished ceremony.
We thanked the German Consulate General for the invitation and, on this occasion, congratulated the Ambassador of the German Embassy in Baghdad and the new German Consul General in Erbil.
