Alliance Network 19 about monitoring the civil and peaceful
demonstrations of hundreds of thousands of citizens in the Kurdistan Region in
the past month, announces:
Instead of party flags, the Kurdistan flag covered the scene
of the demonstration. There was no appearance of violence and the security
forces successfully protected the activities.
Our observers in all cities of the Kurdistan Region have not
recorded any violence against women, hate speech was very weak and if it was
felt, it had nothing to do with the discourse of the demonstrations, environmental
protection and the participation of women and youth were at a high level.
Network 19, established by a group of human rights
organizations and defenders, is supervised by Metro Center, which upholds the
principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international
instruments on rights and freedoms, especially Article 19 of the UN Universal
Declaration of Human Rights.
