Last night, most of the television channels in the Kurdistan Region covered the terrorist attacks on the Kurdistan Region, acting cautiously, complying with the government's guidelines in such sensitive coverage.

Metro Center has received dozens of videos from citizens and journalists asking for our opinions, they ask why this kind of coverage allowed for a purple channel and not for a red, orange, green, blue or brown channel? Why can't their reporter in Erbil do the same kind of coverage as the reporter in Sulaymaniyah? Why does he respect the guidelines there and violate them in Sulaymaniyah?

Metro Center says that in this dangerous and challenging situation, the priority is the security of citizens and protecting the Kurdistan Region from the threat of terrorists, for this we call for the utmost professional discipline from journalists. 

Metro Center is concerned about the hypocrisy of the media with the scene of the incidents, which are indifferent to the security of a city and their coverage is unprofessional and in the name of providing information, which can be disseminated in such a way that they do not cause unrest but instead they become a source of fear and intimidation.

Metro Center, despite its comments on the guidelines, emphasizes: The relevant agencies should not discriminate between any agency and should not hesitate to implement the guidelines on any channel. The guidelines of the ministry and the relevant agencies should be the same for everyone.
